Big Brekkie
The
Big Brekkie makes an excellent choice for your breakfast cafe, with its big windows looking out over the street or the river and its array of designer clothes. But if you're looking for something a little different, the Little Brekkie could be the answer.
Breakfast cafes have been known to be small and boring, but the Big Brekkie is unlike any other. It's not too spacious or too crowded and its interior is remarkably clean and neat. It feels like the people who work here are very relaxed and are happy to have a bit of fun.
The restaurant has a good size business because it's served by a succession of smaller restaurants that are about ten metres square. At the end of the street, two other restaurants serve food around the corner, so there's always a choice of where to eat.
When I went to the little Brekkie for breakfast, I was served by a young man called Jim. He was friendly and we talked about where we lived and what our families did.
In fact, when we spoke about breakfast, he was surprisingly open, he laughed at my jokes and we had a great time together. I'd never had breakfast in such a relaxed atmosphere before.
Despite being only a little way away from the market, the Brekkie felt alive. In the morning, you could see a procession of people outside just walking up and down the street, each with their bags in hand, and many were buying products from the shop.
Another advantage of going to the Brekkie for
breakfast is that it allows you to look around at all the beautiful shops and produce. It's impossible to go to a traditional coffee shop and not notice the stunning lights, the elegant wares and the cool air conditioning.
In the morning, the Brekkie was full of people enjoying a mug of tea and cake. Some of them were relaxing on the benches outside, others were sipping hot cocoa in front of the television.
During lunch, the Big Brekkie is just as busy as the other restaurants, making it a perfect place to sit and relax with a book. You can choose from a variety of
coffee shops, which are on either side of the road or inside the cafe.
As far as the different menu is concerned, you can choose from omelettes, quiches, sandwiches, cakes, salads, pizzas, and pastries. The food here is delicious and you can even make your own omelette at home if you like.
Overall, the Big Brekkie makes a great place to spend the morning, whether you're trying to decide between the two smaller eateries or sitting back and watching people go about their business. There's a great atmosphere and some of the most inviting people, making it a fun and cheerful place to come to work.
